William Greaves son of John Greaves of Spofforth Haggs was baptised in Spofforth on 28 January 1692. PP_320  
John Greaves and Margaret Tate married in Spofforth on 10 June 1685. M_1685  
John Greaves and his wife had 6 children between 1686 and 1697, including William in 1692. B_1692  
The will of John Greaves of Spofforth Haggs, yeoman, in 1725 leaves property to his son William, and to his wife Margaret for her lifetime. W_1725  
Margret Greaves, widow, died in 1728. D_1728  
Margret Tate might be the daughter of John Tate baptised in Barwick in Elmet in 1664.
